Welcome to Paddle Imua on Facebook. Paddle Imua started as an event back in 2011, with the course running from Makiko Gulch to Kahului Harbor on the island of Maui. Did you know that funds raised from Paddle Imua go directly to funding a week-long camp
for children with special needs? (See pics for a taste of 2021’s “Camp Reimagined”)

On average it costs approximately $635 per camper for Camp Imua - the expense for 50 campers alone is $32k, not including the cost of counselors needed for support.

Camp Imua is now celebrating 45 years and it has been a model of recreational overnight programing for decades. On a good year Paddle Imua has been able to financially support the ENTIRE BODY of special needs keiki to attend this unique inclusive camp. We are also blessed to have sponsors and in-kind donations, without which #paddleimua and Camp Imua would be impossible.

Now celebrating our 10th year - let’s not make it a good year, let’s make it an INCREDIBLE one. Mahalo nui to everyone who has registered so far! Imua 💪🏽

Paramedic, mother, big wave charger, CPR instructor, paddler, and all-round fearless water woman – we are all in awe of Andrea Moller here at Paddle Imua HQ. The Brazilian powerhouse has been a HUGE part of Paddle Imua over the years, giving so much of her time, expertise, and aloha to our special needs keiki and even developing “Ike Imua” - a day dedicated to getting our Camp Imua kids into the water to have fun paddling with some of Maui’s top water athletes. We are beyond lucky that Andrea has been one of the biggest supporters and advocates for #paddleimua over the last decade. Deepest mahalos for all that you do. Imua!

Did you know? Andrea was the first woman to ever paddle in at Pe‘ahi (“Jaws”) and was inducted into the Guinness Book Of World Records for a 42-foot paddle-in that she caught there in January 2016!

We are so stoked that we can hold a Maui event on the water this year!! Happening on Saturday July 17, join us for a Maliko run to support keiki with special needs. It’s going to feel SO GOOD to race again!
