Na Hoaloha Ekolu is an ‘Ohana of Businesses consisting of the Old Lahaina Luau, Aloha Mixed Plate, Star Noodle, Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop and Hoaloha Farms. Our mission is to create opportunities that enrich the lives of everyone we come into contact; our guests, our employees and our community. Last year marked our 30th Anniversary of being in business. We commemorated the achievement with 30 Acts of Aloha. 30 opportunities of giving, representing 30 years, depicting not only our loyalty to our community but also our appreciation for all the support we have received from the community over the years. Our employees raised and gave $130,000 in donations and accumulated over 4,000 volunteer hours. Imua Family Services was one of ten Maui Non-Profit recipients to receive $10,000 from the fundraising efforts by our employees.
Why do you support Paddle Imua?
We’ve participated in Camp Imua many times over the years and have seen the joy on the children’s faces at camp. The inclusiveness and support Camp Imua provides to these special keiki is inspiring and heartwarming. So that’s why we support Paddle Imua, a fundraiser to keep Camp Imua operating.
What is your favorite thing about being a part of Paddle Imua?
The water enthusiasts who gather to show aloha to Imua Family Service’s Camp Imua are great examples of heroic athleticism. Our favorite thing about being a part of Paddle Imua is contributing to an event that combines the passions of ocean, sport, and community for a worthy cause.
What exciting things should we look forward to seeing from you in 2017/2018?
We are continuing our 30 Acts of Aloha. The desire to give back through volunteering and philanthropy has only grown and will continue to grow.
